The Commission’s budget for the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2020, is $6,026,000, the same as last year.

Recognizing the enormous financial strain on the state treasury due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Commission will bear its fair share of the fiscal sacrifice that will be required of all government agencies during this crisis.  Although the Commission is an independent agency created in the Judiciary Article of the Constitution, we are committed to working cooperatively with the Division of the Budget in the Executive Branch to agree upon a reasonable reduction in our budget to help see the State through the current fiscal crisis while also permitting us to meet our constitutional responsibilities.

On February 10, 2021, the Commission's Administrator appeared before a joint legislative hearing and made a statement about the Commission's FY 2021-22 budget.
