The explicit mandates of Judiciary Law Sections 44(4) and 45 render most Commission records and proceedings confidential.  When the Commission determines to discipline a judge publicly, however, the record of the proceedings becomes public.  Such records are available to the public, by appointment, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, at any of the Commission's three offices.  Arrangements may be made through Marisa Harrison, the Records Access Officer, at inforequest@cjc.ny.gov.

The index of public records maintained by the Commission, as required by the Freedom of Information Law, is available at Discipline Index.

The Commission's Rules for Public Access to Records are published at 22 NYCRR Part 7001 and are also available on this website at Commission Rules.
